I had to spend some time thinking if I wanted to give this product 4 or 5 stars. How I wish there was a 4.5 star rating because that's where I would say this heating pad falls. To start off it actually is a really good product. Its unique in that you can snap it around your neck (3 different snaps to make it tighter or looser around the neck) and it ties around the waist. This allows you to use it sitting up without it falling out of place and it covers your spine from cervical to lumbar. Most of the heating elements are directly over the spine with some that wrap around into the front of the shoulders. Nice handheld controller with a 1-10 heat adjustment and also an adjustable timer. The material is a comfortable velvety fleece material much like an outdoor jacket. The first time I used this heating pad (sitting up in a chair at work) I did not feel that it got hot enough for my taste. For whatever reason though, after a few times of using it at home it seemed to get a little hotter each use and now its about perfect. When you lean back against a chair or even lay down on the sofa with this heating pad on it is still comfortable and you don't really get any poking or prodding from the internal wires. While most of the heat runs up and down the center of the spine I do wish there was a bit more that wrapped around the neck. Other than that, this really feels great for anyone with back pain, covering a really large area and stays put when you are either sitting up or moving around.

My mom needs a heating blanket for her back and shouldetr during winter time. Found this one and it looks decent to fit her demand. The package is pretty simple. No any chemical smell when opening the package. The blanket is very soft and light. After trying it on and plug in the power, it does provide adequate heating with medium setting. I'm sure my mom will love it. Recommended

So soft and comfortable! Great variety of heat and timer functions. Warms your shoulders and back. Easy to put on an wear. This is my favorite heating pad for my back pain. It will be great this winter!

This is a very comfy and cozy heating pad that is washable and has a long cord. It has a timer up to 90 minutes, and also has 10 heating levels. It heats up quickly, gets very warm on high, and feels soothing. The reason I deducted a star is because it could definitely have more weight in it, and the neck portion, although it is adjustable, could be tighter. Still, this covers a lot of areas that people will love heat on, including your entire back, shoulders, and neck.

I was very interested in trying out this particular heating pad / wrap for the neck and shoulder area. I don’t take any type of medication or supplement for pain, but rather try to go the all-natural route. Heating pad, wraps, and gel packs are a few of the methods I use. This particular wrap was of high interest, simply because I could use it to wrap around a wide area to get more direct relief than that I can get with a gel pack. Gel packs and microwave wraps are great, but heating pads can be so much easier.The nice thing about the wrap is the fact that it has a long cord that can be plugged into the wall. There are snaps that can be used to secure the wrap in place, making it easy to size. I’d say this would be a medium to large heating wrap. This actually has a very good level of heat distribution. The maximum heat is 158°F, at least twenty degrees higher than another wrap I tried. Now, many of my heating pads have highs that range from 140°F to 167°F. This definitely is in line with the better heating pads on the market. The material is a plush polyester and the heat quite good.
